Thailand's EV market has grown from 450,000+ registered vehicles creating infrastructure challenges. With only ~14,000 public charging stations and peak-hour queues, the country is shifting from manufacturing-focused strategy to developing domestic technology and software capabilities. MG and local tech partners are localizing critical EV components (inverters, drive control units) and software, positioning Thailand to move beyond assembly toward indigenous engineering expertise in battery management, motor control, and vehicle software tuning.
