Google Pixel 11 introduces sign-to-text (SL2T) feature that uses device camera to detect hand and facial movements in sign language and translates them to English text in real-time. The AI model was trained on 100,000 hours of sign language data covering 50+ sign languages globally, with special optimization for single-handed, two-handed, and left-handed signers. Currently supports only American Sign Language (ASL) with expansion to additional languages and devices promised.
