Thailand successfully performed its first remote robotic surgery for prostate cancer, with a surgical team in Bangkok operating on a patient 250 km away in Nakhon Ratchasima. The Health Ministry views this as a major milestone and pilot project to bring advanced medical treatment to remote and underserved communities. The initiative aims to improve access to specialist care and is planned to expand to other regions and hospitals nationwide.
