Dr. Someth Tantiwechakul, advisor to Chaipattana Foundation, launched the annual Camellia Seed Oil Festival 2026 in partnership with The Mall Group. The initiative—now in its 11th year—promotes health benefits of camellia oil while supporting watershed restoration in northern Thailand. Each bottle sold generates income for hill tribes who cultivate the trees above 900m elevation, creating economic incentive to preserve forests rather than cut them. The oil contains three omega types (3, 6, 9) and is endorsed by Thai Heart Association for cardiovascular health.
