Thailand's Department of Highways and the State Expressway Authority plan to complete the Rama III-Dao Khanong-Western Outer Ring expressway (43.7 km total) by late 2570, with Contract 3 finishing in April 2570 and full toll collection operational by September 2570. The link will cut travel time to Phetchaburi and Hua Hin by 1–2 hours. Tolls will shift from distance-based (30–60 baht) to a flat rate to simplify collection and integrate with the existing M-Flow system; the final rate is under review by the Transport Ministry.
