GC (PTT Global Chemical) became Thailand's first plastic pellet manufacturer to obtain Halal certification in Indonesia, covering 137 products across HDPE, LLDPE, LDPE, PS, and Hexene under brands InnoPlus, PlastMate, and DIAREX. The certification required no formula changes, reflecting GC's existing quality standards, and supports customers in halal-sensitive industries including food & beverage, packaging, and consumer goods. GCMI (GC's Indonesian distributor) controls ~10% of Indonesia's PE consumption and ~20% of PE imports, making this certification strategically important for supply chain transparency and competitive positioning in the Indonesian market.
