Dr.Pon Aramwattananont, chair of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, has warned businesses across Bangkok, surrounding provinces, the eastern region, and multiple provinces nationwide to develop emergency recovery plans ahead of ongoing flooding and water congestion. He recommends businesses inspect machinery, electrical systems, and transport routes; protect inventory and raw materials; and consider adjusting work hours and formats to support affected employees. The Chamber is also coordinating with provincial chambers and sector associations to collect business concerns and align support efforts with relevant government agencies to accelerate economic recovery.
