The Treasury Department and Krung Thai Bank have launched 'Treasury Coin Market', a comprehensive online auction platform for rare coins, opening on the 17th of each month. The inaugural auction featured a rare 10 Baht coin from B.E. 2533 that sold for 2.54 million baht. The platform aims to digitize Thailand's coin trading market with transparent pricing, standardized coin grading, and secure payment systems—creating infrastructure for collectors and the general public to participate remotely. Future auctions will include commemorative royal coins and historically valuable pieces.
