Deputy PM and Commerce Minister Supachai announced a 7-step roadmap for the next phase of commerce policy, prioritizing: (1) accelerating trade negotiations on FTA, ART, and Section 301; (2) driving exports to double-digit growth (targeting 8–10% expansion, currently 6.2–6.3 trillion baht); (3) stabilizing agricultural commodity prices (rice, cassava, palm oil, rubber); (4) supporting SMEs and cracking down on business front-companies (nominees); (5) reducing cost of living (inflation at 1.21% over 7 months); and (6) launching 4 working groups on creative economy, agriculture/food security, and community economy. Shift emphasizes proactive structural problem-solving rather than reactive crisis management.
