Deputy PM and Commerce Minister Suphajee unveiled a comprehensive "5D" economic strategy addressing five global shifts: geopolitical decoupling, diversification, digital/AI technology, decarbonization, and demographic changes. Four working clusters will drive agriculture value-chain optimization, SME development via a "SME Journey" framework supporting 3.28 million Thai SMEs (99.5% of businesses, 35% of GDP), creative economy, and international trade. The emphasis shifts from supply-driven thinking ("what we produce") to market-driven strategy ("what markets need"), with integrated public-private collaboration aiming for measurable short and long-term outcomes.
