Thailand faces mounting water crises affecting agriculture and business. Chulalongkorn University's Water Resilience Center showcases 10 model communities demonstrating "Water Economy"—converting water management challenges into economic opportunities and food security. Examples range from integrated water management in Bangkok (Thonburi area generating 10–40M baht monthly) to community-led projects in rural areas using innovation (smart gates in Samut Songkhram, watershed restoration in Phatthalung, reservoir rehabilitation in Chiang Mai) and disaster-warning networks in Nakhon Si Thammarat.
