Thailand's Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) successfully led a trade delegation to Senegal (July 5-7), securing 231.39 million baht in negotiated trade value — comprising 4.48 million in immediate orders and 226.91 million expected within 12 months. The delegation engaged 154 Senegalese importers across food products (rice, frozen vegetables, canned pineapple, spices) and industrial goods (liniment, electrical wire, locks, machinery). Thai products are already stocked in major retailers (Casino, Auchan) and finding distribution partners, positioning a bridgehead for West African expansion.
