Prachachat conducted a real-world test of the GWM WEY G9 plug-in hybrid MPV, claiming a 1,000 km range via a 1.5L turbo petrol engine paired with dual electric motors (325 kW, 442 hp) and a 44.28 kWh battery supporting 170 km pure-EV range. Driving 824 km from Bangkok to Phatthalung, the vehicle delivered strong comfort (especially multi-function massage seats), smooth hybrid performance, and advanced dual-motor torque vectoring (Hi4 Technology). Result: falls ~200 km short of claimed range but validated as a practical, comfortable PHEV for Thai families at 2.349M baht—blends EV feel with ICE security and luxury cabin amenities.
