CP Extra (CPAXT) is launching Makro CLUB, a membership-based retail model inspired by Costco, with a key twist: membership is optional rather than mandatory, allowing non-members to shop at regular prices while members (paying 1,299 THB/year) enjoy 10x points accumulation, exclusive promotions, and extended return windows. The pilot rollout covers 4 renovated branches (Jangwattana, Charansanitwong, Sathorn, Bangplee) with curated product mix including fresh food (Japanese sushi via CP-Uoriki partnership), prepared meals by celebrity chefs, imported beauty brands, and licensed toys (Gundam, LEGO, Disney). This aligns with CP Extra's broader "Happy & Healthy Mall" strategy, featuring a 60-project renovation roadmap across 29 provinces (2026–2027) to expand mall and rental space by 13% and position retail destinations as lifestyle hubs.
