Thailand's Department of Fisheries announced a comprehensive anti-IUU (illegal, unreported, unregulated) fishing campaign covering law reform (71 amended articles, 23 subordinate laws), resource management (MSY-TAC quotas), monitoring systems (VMS/ERS/EM), enforcement, and labor protection. In 2568, Thai seafood exports reached 1.67 million tons worth 223 billion baht. The strategy aims to ensure full supply-chain traceability and maintain international buyer confidence in responsibly-sourced Thai fisheries products.
