GISTDA announced the winner of its third School Satellite Competition: team TIDAS from King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, who developed an AI-enabled tsunami warning payload that analyzes ionospheric variations via GNSS signals. The winning payload will be integrated into a 6U CubeSat and launched to orbit by mid-2027, with the student team working alongside GISTDA engineers through design, integration, and testing phases—part of Thailand's effort to build a new generation of space technology talent.
