Thailand's new cybercrime law (effective 12 August 2026) grants authorities broad power to seize and blacklist mule accounts used in online fraud schemes. Authorities can now freeze all banking channels without waiting for court orders, while victims can request immediate refunds. The Bank of Thailand will restrict daily transfer limits for youth aged 12–18 to 3,000–10,000 baht to prevent scammers from exploiting young account holders. Innocent parties can contact AOC hotline 1441 for account unlock verification.
