Thailand's SEC and Anti-Money Laundering Office have enacted strict "travel rule" requirements for digital asset businesses, effective February 27, 2027. Operators must collect, verify, and retain transaction data for five years, and verify counterparty identities and intermediaries. These rules aim to prevent money laundering and tech-enabled crime while aligning with international FATF standards. SMEs in crypto and fintech must upgrade systems and compliance processes to meet the new regulatory framework.
