The Department of Highways confirms that Highway M82 motorway (Bangkhunthian–Baan Phaew, 25 km) will open for free use from August 28, with construction 98% complete. The route offers a new traffic alternative to Rama II Road heading south. Full toll collection via M-Flow system is expected within 2 years, with rates starting at 10 baht for 4-wheel vehicles plus 2 baht per km. This infrastructure project reduces congestion pressure on existing routes and improves regional connectivity.
