PM Anuthin intervenes to settle the Airport Link–high-speed rail dispute with CP. CP will continue operations for another 4 months (Oct 2026–Jan 2027) but demands 4 conditions: immunity from disputes with stop-service rights, 240 million baht monthly fee, return of 1.067 billion baht security deposit, and handover of trains as-is. State Railways rejects most terms and insists the primary high-speed rail contract remains binding; CP must operate and face a 10.671 billion baht payment obligation if the main contract isn't amended. A new separate MOU for Airport Link is being negotiated to separate it from the floundering high-speed rail project. The 5-year accumulated loss exceeds 500 million baht.
