Microsoft is consolidating its consumer Copilot and enterprise Microsoft 365 Copilot into a single unified app. The merged app will retain the Microsoft 365 Copilot branding (simply called "Copilot") with a new icon, supporting both personal and organizational logins across desktop, mobile, and web. Some features like Group Chat, Podcasts, and Deep Research will be removed; the change takes effect August 18, 2026. This mirrors Microsoft's earlier Teams consolidation strategy.
