Thailand's Deputy Transport Minister has launched a development plan for 765 rai (122 hectares) of state land in Phang Nga's Than-U area, partnering with SRT Asset Co. The project aims to create a tourism, hotel, and wellness center hub, leveraging proximity to Phuket Airport (20 km away) and the planned Andaman Airport (4 km away). Development will prioritize environmental sustainability, community engagement, and economic benefits for local residents while respecting existing communities in the area. Further feasibility studies on investment models and environmental impact are planned.
