Thai commercial bank lending is expected to grow just 0.5% YoY in 2026, driven entirely by large corporate and government-linked borrowers. SME and retail segments remain under pressure: SME lending down 5.1% YoY (May), auto leasing down 8.2%, credit cards down 4.2%. TTB Bank launched a new risk-based pricing car-for-cash product using credit scores to offer better rates, targeting the 4–5 million vehicle-collateral loan customers currently paying 20–21% annually.
