Thailand's Science, Technology & Innovation Policy Council (STI) has unveiled T-VER methodology that converts safe, donated food surplus into verifiable carbon credits. This allows businesses to transparently report ESG impact while addressing food waste and greenhouse gas emissions. The approach is positioned as a potential Asia-wide model, monetizing the carbon value embedded in food donation programs and creating economic incentives for SMEs and businesses to participate in food rescue efforts.
