AOT activated its full Business Continuity Plan (BCP) to manage heavy flooding affecting Bangkok and surrounding areas. The company confirmed both Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports remain operational with no flight cancellations, normal parking, and unaffected commercial operations. AOT escalated water-pumping capacity from 2 to 6 operational units and continuously manages retention basin levels; pumping systems still have reserve capacity. The company also coordinated with airlines to allow passengers affected by flooding to reschedule tickets and partnered with Grab to incentivize drivers reaching the airport amid urban traffic congestion.
