Square Enix showcased Final Fantasy VII Revelation at Tokyo Game Show 2026 with photo spots and playable demos. The author tried the Mt. Nibel climbing sequence featuring new playable characters Cid Highwind and Vincent Valentine alongside Cloud. The demo featured less hand-holding than previous entries, more exploration freedom, and exciting new cutscenes. The game launches April 8, 2027.
