A 30-year-old underground oil pipeline (14 inches diameter) beneath Chuea Phloeng Road in Klong Toey has ruptured, leaking approximately 4,000 litres into drains. The Ministry of Energy has ordered pipeline operators Bangkok Fuel Pipeline and Logistics Co and BAFS Pipeline Transportation Co to repair the line, remediate the environment, and pay compensation. The incident affects ~1,000 sq m with no evacuation yet required, though fire risk warnings remain in place.
