CKPower (a major renewable energy producer) reported H1 2026 net operating profit of 326 million baht, down 22% year-on-year due to lower electricity sales from thermal subsidiaries BIC and NN2, offset partly by strong performance from Xayaburi hydropower (XPCL) which surged 134% profit to 517 million baht. The company is developing a hydrometeorological forecasting system to manage El Niño risks in H2 2026, while advancing the Luang Prabang hydropower project (77% complete) and a 6 MW renewable FiT project expected online in 2027.
