Thailand's Treasury Department launched Treasury Coin Market, the country's first comprehensive electronic coin auction platform. The inaugural auction of 10 rare baht coins concluded at 2.54 million baht. The platform aims to expand market access for collectors nationwide without geographical constraints, features transparent pricing mechanisms, secure payment systems with anti-fraud safeguards via Krung Thai Bank, and incorporates international coin grading standards (MS). Monthly auctions are scheduled for the 17th of each month, potentially creating new income streams for Treasury and employment opportunities in the collector market.
