Thailand's Department of Intellectual Property reported 512 enforcement cases in the first 7 months of 2026, seizing 1.84 million counterfeit items (809M baht damage). Online marketplaces accounted for 140 cases (322K items, 104M baht damage). Counterfeits included apparel, cosmetics, electronics, beverages, and auto parts—some posing health risks due to substandard production. The department plans to destroy over 2 million accumulated seized items (2.145B baht value) on 10 September 2026. Enforcement spans production sources, imports, warehouses, and retail—both online and offline—requiring public cooperation to prevent counterfeits from re-entering the market.
