He argues that 60 years of automotive ecosystem development could be lost without strategy, distinguishing between promoting EV cars versus building an EV industry. Critical issues—battery recycling, charging infrastructure, power grid capacity, and supply chain resilience—must be addressed proactively, not reactively. Toyota still views Thailand as the region's strongest production hub, but only if government policy is decisive and consistent.
