Prince of Songkla University is leading a multi-stakeholder initiative to position southern Thailand as a green, medical, and clean-energy hub by 2040. The Thailand Greenest Cities Forum & Expo will be held in Phuket (24–26 September 2026) with 4 MOUs covering clean energy, circular economy, healthcare infrastructure, and green-city standards. Signatories include 10 provincial authorities, 75 municipalities, and 50 private operators (hospitals, hotels, real estate). Projected annual economic value: ฿50 billion+. The expo will showcase green building innovations, medical equipment, and mixed-use real-estate projects that reduce travel demand.
