Thailand's State Railway (SRT) board approved 392 million baht in consulting fees to study two new railway construction projects: the Nakhon Sawan–Ban Phai line (single-track, 304 km, 41.8 billion baht investment) and the Chaturat–Chaiyaphum–Nong Bua Lamphu line (dual-track, 230 km, 192 million baht study). Both projects aim to enhance cargo and passenger connectivity across central and northeastern Thailand, with feasibility and environmental impact studies to be completed by year-end. This represents government commitment to regional infrastructure development, potentially benefiting logistics and supply-chain SMEs.
