Thailand's Ministry of Commerce extended the animal feed corn purchasing price for 2568/69 after failing to announce a new rate due to conflicting cost data. Deputy PM Suphajee ordered a comprehensive cost review by August 31, 2569, emphasizing that price fixes alone won't solve farmer issues—underlying problems like seed quality, yield per acre, and production costs must be addressed first. If costs genuinely rise, the Agriculture Ministry should offer direct support to prevent cascading impacts on feed manufacturers, livestock producers, and consumer prices.
