Bangkok and the Thai Real Estate Association are launching the second BKK Housing Expo (9–11 October) with a rent-to-own model targeting 1,000 unit bookings. The initiative extends a public–private housing matching platform beyond civil servants to all workers, addressing both supply-side overcapacity (~hundreds of thousands of units) and demand-side financing barriers. First expo drew 2,152 visitors and 60 platform-matched bookings; the new model provides a pathway for financially unprepared buyers to rent while building savings toward future ownership.
