Deputy PM Pipat conducted a site inspection of ICD Ladkrabang and Ram Khamhaeng freight station to resolve long-standing logistical bottlenecks. Key initiatives include: integrated road-rail-port connectivity to reduce costs and improve efficiency; a new M7 ramp to directly serve Chon Buri-bound traffic (capacity boost from 930 to 1,194 vehicles/hour); and expedited Public-Private Partnership (PPP) bidding for a new 20-year concession (original concession ended in 2011). Rail freight volumes are growing—FY2569 tracked 483,350 TEUs (16% above target)—signaling genuine demand. The Cabinet approved the study on 17 Feb 2025; next steps are partner selection, contract negotiation, and Cabinet approval before signing.
