Thailand's Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has imposed civil penalties on 18 individuals for coordinated manipulation of META Corporation's stock price and trading volume between 2018–2020. The violators face combined financial penalties of 172.57 million baht, securities trading bans (11–51 months), and executive office bans (22–102 months). Misconduct included coordinated buy/sell orders, spoofing with large limit orders across price levels, and wash trades via block transactions designed to create artificial price pressure and mislead retail investors. This enforcement action signals stricter oversight of market manipulation in Thailand's equity markets.
