SCGC (a major Thai chemical company) has partnered with local communities and Thailand's Water Resources Information Institute to develop a "2 Build 2 Store" model for community-level water resilience across 28,000 rai of upstream forest in Rayong Province. The model emphasizes four pillars: building human capacity through knowledge and participation; establishing water-use agreements; storing water efficiently through infrastructure like weirs; and collecting data for informed planning. The initiative aims to shift from reactive crisis management to proactive water management, with the goal of lifting agricultural productivity by 79 million kilograms annually and developing value-added enterprises and agro-tourism.
