Thailand's National Rice Policy Committee is rolling out five support programmes targeting 11.5 million tonnes of rice, allocating 12.04 billion baht. Measures include subsidised storage, credit schemes for farmers and cooperatives, interest relief for mills, and direct purchases at 300 baht/tonne through strategic grain reserves. Additional cost-reduction and efficiency initiatives are being finalised to help rice farmers improve liquidity and income stability amid production pressures.
