The Government Pension Fund (GPF) has partnered with the Deposit Protection Agency, Whoscall, and NITMX to combat digital fraud targeting retired civil servants. The initiative distributes 1.5 million free 6-month Whoscall Premium Basic licenses to 1.2 million members. This addresses a critical vulnerability: 28% of online fraud losses (฿3.15 billion Jan–Sep 2026) target seniors, with 270 reported impersonation cases at the protection agency and SMS scams exceeding 38 million attempts. The collaboration combines technology with public awareness to counter increasingly automated AI-driven fraud schemes.
