Thailand's government is accelerating flood prevention infrastructure in Nan Province with two priority projects: dredging 18 sections of the Nan River (97.5 million baht, 13.5 km, protecting 24,700 rai and 13,786 households) and repairing the Nong Khaen dam (26 million baht) which is experiencing seepage and structural subsidence. A broader 716-project water management plan worth 16.5 billion baht is under review, targeting comprehensive drought and flood resilience across the region.
