Thai Airways International will resume direct Bangkok-Auckland flights next year, ending a 30+ year suspension caused by COVID-19. The move is part of a broader strategic partnership between Thailand and New Zealand to triple bilateral trade by 2045 (targeting US$7.5–13.5 billion), boost tourism and investment, and strengthen air-freight connectivity across Asia. New Zealand also reaffirmed support for Thailand's OECD membership bid.
