Sea Thailand and government agencies (NSTDA, insKru, a-chieve) launched the third edition of Women Made: Girl in STEM 2026, bringing 144 secondary students and 48 teachers to a science event featuring 21 real-world STEM professionals. The initiative addresses the gender gap in STEM fields (only 28.2% women globally; in Thailand, just 16.8% in engineering vs. 47.9% in ICT) by connecting classroom learning to actual careers, showcasing female role models, and letting students hands-on build autonomous vehicles. The program targets a critical drop-off period (secondary school) when girls' STEM interest wanes, aiming to demystify STEM jobs and build confidence through exposure to diverse female practitioners in technology, aerospace, software, and design.
