Spotify has released a feature allowing parents to exclude children's and family music from their personalized recommendation algorithm via a new Settings option. This solves the problem where listening to kids' content on a personal account was muddying song suggestions. Users can still search and play kids' music freely; the exclusion only affects algorithmic recommendations. Available on mobile for both free and premium tiers, with opt-in exclusion.
