OpenAI has terminated its partnership with Cursor, an AI coding assistant, after Cursor was acquired by SpaceX (owned by Elon Musk, who is currently in litigation with OpenAI's Sam Altman). The termination takes effect November 12, 2026, meaning Cursor will lose access to OpenAI's models. Cursor had originally relied on OpenAI's models but has since developed its own code model (Composer) and now uses Grok following the SpaceX acquisition.
