Thailand's Ministry of Industry has launched a special enforcement task force called "Top Gun" to combat substandard products across the supply chain—from factories and warehouses to online platforms. Led by Gen. Boonbua Thong, the operation moves beyond simple product checks to track importers, distributors, and logistics partners. In fiscal 2568, authorities seized over 100 million baht in non-compliant goods (electronics, steel, toys). The crackdown addresses both consumer safety and unfair competition, since illegally imported goods avoid testing and certification costs. Recent seizures include 33,000+ electrical items worth 4.68 million baht and 85,000+ LED power supplies worth 10.9 million baht from Bangkok-area warehouses.
